To offer students the opportunity to do identity work in the context of their peers. To begin to prepare students for GCSE by teaching theatre history and specific drama skills.
We work to develop student confidence, identity and performance skill. Offering a workshop-based curriculum based on a balance of based text-based and improvised work, the St Sampson’s High School Drama Department encourages students to work together towards crafted performance. Drama is uniquely placed to support the elements of learning which are so essential to employability, especially in today’s rapidly changing world: team work, creativity, independence, reflection, critical thinking, and resilience. We are fully supportive of the Big Picture Curriculum.
