Year 10 GCSE music students and some year 9 students recently enjoyed an afternoon of Samba Drumming with members of the visiting group ‘Sparks’ who came over to lead the lantern parade in town a few weeks ago.
We all had an inspiring (and loud) afternoon and our performance in the hall kept the rest of the school entertained too!
GCSE Music students have also managed to see performances at St James this year by Taiko drummers, a Brass Quartet and the Budapest Cafe Orchestra. We are really enjoying and benefiting from the wide range of performers visiting the Island.
